Taking a survey can be a very lengthy and time-consuming process. To simplify this Ascent has come up with an innovative idea of hosting an online survey, so user can take a survey in comfort of office or home and Time, along with which survey-conducting company also benefits as the manpower needed to undertake survey is much lesser and the analysis process becomes faster.
Model
To address these issues and to speed up the process, Ascent has proposed a new model where in on line tools are used. Details of the proposed model are as below.
It is proposed that the entire process of data collection and follow up should be divided into three parts as under:
1. Data collection of companies, which satisfy certain criterions.Mailers to these companies requesting for participation in on line survey or if company which wants to host a survey has database it can be used with this tool very easily.
2. Hosting a customized survey on online survey tool and conduct survey
3. Collation and Analysis of collected data and information and reporting based on results of survey.(User can create Customized report as per their requirements)
Broad Specifications of Online Survey Tool
The on line survey system will consist of following components:
1. E-mailing tool for generating initial mails requesting companies / people to participate in the on line survey.This will track and monitor actualparticipation by companies. 2. On line survey questionnaire including monitoring and automated thank you response (In this phase Contact details of the contact are pre-filled as per
contacts uploaded by Survey-hosting company/ person)
3. Data base for collecting the responses and further analysis
4. Reporting tool based on all above
On line questionnaire
On line questionnaire will be the most vital component and the only component that will be visible to the participating companies/ People. The tool can caters for multiple questions with Yes/ No, grading responses and comments (Free text) and 5 preliminary fields for base data of the company/ person.
Analysis of survey results
Based on the responses from the participating companies extensive analysis will be made by the tool and will be presented in reports format to the client. Some sample reports that will be available are listed here (following reports can be customized as per
